Prison Break now on DVD

Tuesday, August 8th, 2006

Prison Break DVD Box setThe first season of this ground breaking TV show is now available on DVD. Prison Break is the show I’ve been hooked on since last year and was waiting for a new episode every week. I watched an episode, recorded on tape to watch it at least once more before the next show. Now that the first season is completed they are releasing that six DVD set that also includes commentary by the creators and stars, featurettes, alternate and deleted scenes and more. They created a specific website to promote their franchise PrisonBreakDVD.com and the retail price is around $37 US/$55 CND.

The new season of Prison Break will air on FOX and Global on August 21st. Be sure to watch the first season by then because this TV show is highly addictive.

Inside Man

Inside Man ShotI never had so much fun since I watched V for Vendetta the day before! Seriously, Inside Man was released on DVD yesterday and I had my eyes on it ever since it was released in theaters. Even today I wonder why I did not go see it. I just love robbery stories, the reason is that they are always well written and “smart”. The correct term should be brilliant, it got all that Ocean’s Eleven and Twelve was missing some action! I was obviously missing the humor it had but this particular movie I loved the seriousness it took and the cast was great. Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster! They had a great chemistry together and the script being so well written. I’m unsure of how I can convince you that this movie is really great. I enjoyed every moment of it.

If we look at the story side, a bunch of bank robbers take hostages amongst one of the greatest banks of New York, however the robbers are interested in something much more valuable than money. The plot thickens when the boss of the bank hires a professional to make sure the contents of a particular safety deposit box remains secret. What is in that safety deposit? How will the robbers escape, will they escape? All your questions are answered in this great flick directed by Spike Lee!
