iPod Nano: Remastered

The news is not so hot anymore but I still think I need to mention it. Last Tuesday (12/09/2006) was the day were Apple decided to bring all attention to itself by releasing a bunch of new toys. As it is a custom for the iPod line they improved the software and updated iTunes to sell movies. This makes Apple a major distributor of music, tv shows, podcasts and now movies. I remember talking about the arrival of the iPod Nano witch I found to be a great upgrade from the ridiculous iPod Shuffle.

New colorful iPod Nano

The new Nanos come in five colors; legacy of the iPod Minis and the Shuffle has been down-sized to become the worlds smallest MP3 player (1GB). Set aside that I grown to hate the concept of iTunes and iPod because of their non-replaceable batteries and their restricted format I salute their brand. I mean they always come with great ways to promote their products and Apple has raised in popularity ever since. You see how cool this picture looks? Have a look at the same add in motion Quicktime format and you’ll be blown away.

The term MP3 player is now slowly starting to be replaced by iPod by kids in my neighborhood. Anyhow, they announced better battery life, higher capacity of storage, gapless playback, brighter screen, thinner size. To sum up the event Steve Jobs introduced the upcoming iTV, code name of a box that will allow you to stream the contents of your iTunes library to your TV (HD preferably), means that the new content of the iTunes Store is not limited to your iPod and computer anymore.
