Here is one movie I couldn’t wait to see. It’s one of those you really feel is going to be good and your feeling is right. The movie was released in Fall and is a fresh DVD release for 2007. Crank is the story of a hitman, Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) who is poisoned by a deadly cocktail. He wakes up in his appartment and discovers he has only an hour to live. The only way to postpone his untimely death is to keep pumping adrenaline in his system in order to keep going. “If you stop, you die!” he’s hellbent on getting back and those who doomed him and wrecks havoc in the city to find a cure. At the same time he needs to tell his girlfriend about his real job and destroy everything in his path. It’s hard not to like this movie, it’s really restricted to an adult audience because of the violence and sexual themes it brings to the screen. It could climb up my list of best action movies. It’s short, sweet, simple and gory. Action non-stop until the last few minutes before the credits. The DVD is released January 9th 2007. I’ll give it a good 8 out of 10!
