This time of the year is almost there, no Christmas is still months away. But it might as well be because God of War: Chains of Olympus is to be released on March 4th 2008. It’s been announced last year and the wait is finally over! The game is set as a prequel to God of War, while Kratos was first in the service of the gods.
From what I’ve gathered Morpheus, Lord of the Dreams, will have a part to play in the story line (something about the Sun falling off the sky). The plot isn’t clear but it’s not what is fun about it. It’s the game-play, the gore, the action and the thrill. The game will retail for 39.99$, but I believe it will be worth every penny. The only drawback you could consider is that this game is for the PlayStation Portable (PSP), unlike the previous games of the franchise that were on the PlaySation 2 (PS2). There has been some serious speculation that a port would come in the future. Fear not, God of War III will be released on the PlayStation 3 (PS3) sometime in 2009 you could presume.
Despite being a portable game the visuals push the PSP to it’s limits bringing the best graphics seen so far on that handheld gaming console. Mark your calendars, set yourself reminders, pre-order, buy yourself a PSP! Kratos, anti-hero of all is coming back. Who said games were for kids anyway.
Update: I’ve played the demo and I am truly amazed at how good it looks on the PSP. Readyatdawn did a great job to bring the feel of God of War to a portable game.
You like Jackie Chan? You like Jet Li too? Well that is all you need to get excited about The Forbidden Kingdom. It will star those two iconic actors, in a martial art epic. The newest trailer is available and it blew my mind. The movie is about four warriors out to save a kingdom. The visual are impressive, the world their in seems to be filled with magics and mystery. Words do it very little justice. You can watch the trailer right here, or on Yahoo! Movies. It will hit theaters on April 18th 2008.
This is genuinely the creepiest trailer I have ever seen. It’s not like those cheap Japanese horror remakes. No… this is terror! I think that M. Night Shyamalan has a chance to redeem his name with The Happening. Hopefully, you have heard of his previous successes like The Sixth Sense, Signs and Unbreakable. But also his failures like The Village and Lady in the Water.

There is very little known about the plot of the movie, but the latest teaser trailer puts us in an unhappy place. Legion of people start dying! Doesn’t seem to be a disaster movie, or terrorist attack. No it’s like mass suicides all over the place. The origin is unknown, but people start jumping off roofs, sticking needles in their necks and a lot of crazier stuff. Enjoy the trailer, I’m hoping to add a HD version link as soon as it comes available.
